Hannah Scott claims first senior gold medal at World Rowing Championships
Hannah Scott says she took inspiration from Olympic medalists Richard and Peter Chambers and Alan Campbell as she made it a "dream come true" by becoming a rowing world champion.
Rowing alongside Lauren Henry, Lola Anderson and Georgie Brayshaw the 24-year-old held off the Netherlands to claim a landmark senior title.Speaking afterwards Scott said there is definitely "something in the waters" around the River Bann as Coleraine celebrates yet more rowing success. "Watching them growing up I was always like 'if they can do it, why can't I? They definitely inspired me."There's something in the water...I have to say that people who came before me definitely have brought me here today as well."
