Unfortunately, the thick clouds and showers will obscure tonight’s Full Hunter’s Moon. The moon rises at 6:29 p.m. Saturday and sets at 8:51 a.m. Sunday. As the low moves toward the East Coast on Monday, some of the showers will slowly make their way out of the region. However, colder air and gusty winds will make the day feel damp and raw. High temperatures in the 40s are well-below the area’s 60 normal.
An oblong area of high-pressure tries to move into the region on Tuesday, briefly helping to clear out some clouds and providing a little bit of sunshine for the day. By Trick-or-Treat time Tuesday evening, most of Ohio is likely to be dry. However, as a small disturbance rolls into the state overnight, temperatures will be cold enough for some wintry mix and even a few flurries. Accumulations are unlikely and the precipitation will end by sunrise Wednesday morning.
High pressure remains in the area for the end of the week and sunshine will prevail. Breezy conditions continue as the pressure gradient stays fairly tight. By Saturday, as another storm system rolls through the Upper Great Lakes, clouds will increase in Ohio but, for now, it looks as if some nearby high pressure will fight to keep us dry.
