Residents of Springburn expressed their worry after they woke up to a police cordon on Petershill Road.Around a dozen uniformed officers were seen speaking to people, diverting traffic and guarding the taped-off area.One local said:"Police turned up around 6am, I saw them when I looked out."Nothing like this ever happens here.""I have lived here for four years, incidents do happen but nothing this big.
A third citizen added:"When I came down this morning to the chemist, they wouldn't let me go through, I spoke with a police officer who said the cordon would be up until Monday." Nearby Barony Medical Centre cancelled all appointments for the day, revealed to the Glasgow Times in a text message sent to patients.did not reveal any details of the nature of the incident at this time.
