A suburban lacrosse coach's car and team equipment were stolen earlier this month while he was teaching a special education class.
When other coaches heard about what happened, they didn't hesitate to help and rallied to raise funds for the team.
"It was not about the car, but the lacrosse equipment for the youth programs, elite lacrosse for the community," Hays said. Gantz reached out to lacrosse coaches and others to try to get donations to help replace what was stolen.
