Up to 50 people turned out to help look
Up to 50 people have gathered in Hucknall to help a 'distraught' dog owner find her lost pet, a charity has said. The group met at Butlers Hill tram stop this morning to help track down the black Labrador, named William, which was last seen on Saturday, November 5.
Drone To Home, a Nottinghamshire-based charity that helps reunite owners with lost pets, said around 40 to 50 people were turning out to help look for the dog. It said the owner was distraught by her pet's disappearance. In an earlier post on its Facebook page, Drone to Home said the dog had been hit by a tram since going missing, but had got up and run off down the track and into the darkness. The charity advised anyone who was looking for the dog to not chase or approach it.
"Do not chase, grab or go near. The reason for this is the dog will bolt," it said. "Everyone's job today is for sightings only. Please do not be a hero. This dog could bite if in that feral state and this will be highly likely if injured."
