Last year, the board’s compensation and benefits committee had cut Green’s incentive from 110 percent of his salary to 100 percent, the bank’s recent proxy statement indicated. But in light of the bank’s strong bottom line and “Green’s effective leadership” last year, the committee elected to reward him with an incentive equal to 125 percent of his salary.
Compensation for the other executives named in the proxy rose anywhere from about 14 percent to 23 percent last year from 2020. That’s after compensation declined anywhere from about 19 to 21 percent in 2020.
