CIUDAD DE MÉXICO (AP) — El delantero uruguayo Jonathan Rodríguez ingresó desde el banquillo para anotar un gol en el segundo tiempo y el América doblegó el sábado 1-0 a Pumas para colocarse como nuevo líder del torneo Apertura mexicano.
Rodríguez, quien ingresó al encuentro a los 65 minutos, erró un cobro de penal, pero en el contrarremate concretó su tanto a los 75 minutos para las Águilas, que ahora tienen una racha de nueve partidos sin derrotas.
El primer tiempo fue de pocas aproximaciones. América pareció irse al frente con un gol de Henry Martín que fue anulado por una falta previa y a los 37, el argentino Eduardo Salvio sacó un disparo desde fuera del área que pasó ligeramente desviado. El “Cabecita” Rodríguez cobró desde los 11 pasos, pero González recostó sobre su lado derecho y desvió la pelota, pero el uruguayo buscó el rebote por alto y concretó con un remate de cabeza dentro del área chica.Con un tanto de Fernando Arce, el Necaxa rescató un empate de 1-1 ante el Pachuca en otro duelo por la décima fecha.
