Jim Costa addressed the topic, reaffirming their support for Israel and its right to defend itself, but pressed the importance of minimizing the effects felt on civilians. While their message was strong, they recognize the challenge in keeping civilians safe when Hamas uses the innocent for their own protection and directly putting them in harm's way, and the long road ahead.
