A Florida police officer has been fired after he arrested two six-year-old children. Dennis Turner, a school resource officer in Orlando, lost his job because of two arrests at an elementary school, which are still under investigation.Washington Post
. “We were all appalled. We could not fathom the idea of a six-year-old being put in the back of a police car.”told NBC News . Rolón explained that Turner was a reserve officer who could be fired even as an investigation into the incident continues. Rolón also said he had reminded officers that they needed a supervisor’s permission for any arrests of children under 12. These were the grounds on which Turner was fired — failure to seek a supervisor’s approval.
