Coronation Street’s Gail will be rushed to hospital following a row with Sarah and David as part of her exit storyline, following actress Helen Worth’s decision to leave the soap after 50 years
Things are not looking too good for Gail in Coronation Street, as new photos reveal she will be rushed to hospital next week after experiencing pains in her arm. Gail recently revealed to her children, Sarah and David, that she had a holiday romance in Thailand with returning character Jesse, played by John Thomson, but neither of her kids think he can be trusted, leading to a family argument.
Jesse is believed to be part of Gail’s exit plot, following the news that actress Helen Worth, who plays her, is retiring from Coronation Street after 50 years later this year. "Helen and I are absolutely thrilled to be working together, everyone's good company and there's always fun to be had on set with the Platts, which is great.”Helen announced in June that she would be leaving Coronation Street after celebrating five decades on the soap. She said: "This year felt like the perfect time to leave the show after celebrating 50 years in the most wonderful job on the most wonderful street in the world.
