Cassie Plummer was at the centre of the action in Weatherfield
The character, played by Claire Sweeney, has recently arrived on the Cobbles to reconnect with her son, Tyrone Dobbs. Claire is world's apart from her glamorous self in the role as she underwent a dramatic transformation to play the character, who is a recovering drug addict.
In the show, she has vowed to Tyrone that she is now clean and on the right road to recovery. However, Monday's episode showed that was far from the truth as she was in trouble with the drug dealer, Dean.Dean lashed out at Cassie before she was saved by Michael, who took her to hospital. However, this was not the end of the drama as Dean followed them to A&E and punched Michael.
Cassie tried to cool the situation and insisted they should not contact the police as this will only make matters worse. However, viewers following the show on Twitter were confused as the drama unfolded as they questioned why the hospital did not have any security. Eileen said: "A fight kicks off in hospital waiting room. No security. Everyone minding their own business. Drug dealer rushes out. A little lady pops up behind the desk. “Cassie”. All back to normal. Is this programme now becoming totally unrealistic?"
