Coronation Street star Jack James Ryan has candidly shared what he WON'T miss about playing Jacob Hay as he exits the soap. During Friday night's episode of the ITV soap, viewers saw the reformed bad boy having to leave Weatherfield behind after his girlfriend Amy Barlow's life was threatened.

Hearing Amy entering the flat, a desperate Jacob pretends he’s on the phone dealing drugs leaving Amy horrified to think he’s up to his old tricks.
Sharing what he'll miss about playing Jacob, Jack told us: "Everything! Jacob is like my little baby. I have serious attachment issues already but I'll miss his charisma and his charm." However, there is one thing he'll definitely not be missing. "I certainly will not miss his wardrobe. I won't miss that one bit," he laughed.
"We were looking at the long haul of what this character was going to do and who was going to be on the street and that was incredibly humbling and those types of conversations were amazing but also, I'm still young and there's so much I want to go and do. I also felt, in a way, I've come and done what I intended to do.
"Never say never," he said. "A fantastic writer on the show we have said to me the best time to bring a character back is when it's going to cause the most damage theatrically. So, I kind of had a daydream that in five years' time when Amy has settled down and she's found a man she really loves and she's just about to get married that Jacob bursts through the doors and goes, 'I object,' or whatever they say at a wedding.
