Coronation Street star Peter Ash is leaving the cobbles after six years on the soap and as he prepares for his final episodes as Paul Foreman, he chats about his next career move
In an emotional farewell, Coronation Street viewers will witness Paul Foreman's heart-wrenching MND storyline come to its conclusion this week. Billy Mayhew is in a desperate dash to reach his husband Paul's side as actor Peter Ash, who first graced the cobbles in 2018, takes his final bow in the show.
"Billy is full of regret, full of fear," Daniel reveals. "He starts to retrace his steps but obviously he's panicking because he needs to be contactable 24/7 because of Paul. When he kisses Paul goodbye rather flippantly, he obviously has no idea that that is the last time he's ever going to see him."
"I will grieve myself when it sinks in. That's it - I'm not going to see Paul again. I'm dreading it. It has been an amazing ride."
