prompted several of his former teammates to reach out to each other.

Escobar, 31, along with Chelsea Walsh died while rock climbing in San Bernardino National Forest in Southern California. Escobar was a 2013 second-round pick, who also played with Baltimore after spending four seasons with the Cowboys. “Yeah, obviously incredibly sad,” said Zack Martin who played with Escobar for three seasons. “I heard the news last night and I got on the phone with some former teammates a little bit. I feel horrible for him and his family, I know he’s got two young girls, him and his wife, so were just praying for him.”

In February, Escobar was hired as a firefighter in Long Beach, Calif., something that Mike McCarthy said, “touches my heart.”
