Bonner pleaded not guilty to the charges on Thursday in Cleveland Municipal Court, and her next court appearance is scheduled for April 13. The incident happened about 3:40 a.m. on Dec. 15 inside the jail, according to court records. Bonner choked a 37-year-old woman who was jailed at the time of the incident on suspicion of domestic violence. Jail records say Bonner was booked into the jail the day of the incident and released without formal charges the next day.No other information is contained in court records.

Since the attorney general’s office ended its investigation, four other officers have been accused of assaulting inmates.was charged in June with sexually assaulting three inmates, including one with a history of mental illness. Bacsa pleaded guilty on March 16 to three counts of sexual battery and one count each of unlawful restraint and sexual imposition.
