A man in his 50s sustained a head injury after the collision
A cyclist has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a tram in Wythenshawe on Thursday afternoon .
Tram services were immediately halted as an air ambulance landed in the area after a man, aged in his 50s, was rushed to hospital with a head injury from the scene.Pictures from the scene show an air ambulance and a number of emergency services vehicles beside the tram stop amid investigations. Further details about the condition of the cyclist have not yet been confirmed.
The North West Ambulance Service confirmed paramedics were called out to reports of a collision between a cyclist, a man in his 50s, and a tram before he was rushed to hospital from the scene. The incident is being investigated by specialist officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
