We’re in the midst of a weather regime change as persistently warm air gives way to much cooler conditions. While there may be a bump or two of warmth in the future, it’s likely that normal to cooler-than-normal temperatures will prevail overall, and potentially for some time. We get some decent practice for what’s to come through this weekend behind the first stronger cold front of the season.Scattered showers linger behind the front, perhaps through late morning or so.

Confidence: Medium-HighThere should be a good deal of sun, but these kinds of air masses like to have “self-destructive” sunshine, with very cold air aloft allowing for cloudiness in even a not-so-warm air mass. This will be that kind of day, as highs are about 10 degrees or more below normal, mainly in a near 60 to mid-60s range. Gusty winds out of the west and northwest only make it feel chillier.
