Jones, 39, became the District’s associate attorney general for special projects after losing in last November’s election to the current D.C. attorney general, “OAG is grateful to Mr. Jones for his commitment to the District of Columbia and for the assistance he has provided Attorney General Schwalb during the first year of his administration,” a Schwalb spokesperson said in a statement. “We wish Mr. Jones all the best in his future endeavors.”

In an interview, Jones said he plans to focus his private practice on some of the same issues he worked on in the attorney general’s office, including housing equity, youth welfare and public safety.
