. The Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft touched down yesterday, building on lessons learnt from Chandrayaan-2, which crashed during its landing attempt in 2019. The lander will deploy a six-wheeled rover that will roam the landing site for one lunar day, equivalent to 14 Earth days. The Indian Space Research Organisation’s next major mission — its first to study the Sun — is scheduled to launch in early September.
