The Belfast born DJ DAIRE will take to the 2024 Belsonic stage supporting Scooter and Ben Nicky.
If you haven't heard people talking about DAIRE, you probably will have after this year.He has a massive Saturday night planned at Belsonic, where he is supporting Scooter and Ben Nicky.Oh and he's only 25 years old.DAIRE has been to Belsonic before, even going to see Ben Nicky in previous years.
And when asked if when he was in the crowd, did he think he would be supporting Ben Nicky one day he says: "Without sounding arrogant, I always had self belief in myself that one day I could be standing on that stage.Saturday's Belsonic will see DAIRE, Ben Nicky and Scooter take to the stage at Ormeau Park, Belfast."Ben Nicky just, actually, rang me one day and just asked me did I want to play Belsonic. And, I was like mate of course I do. Don't be asking me silly questions.
"That just grew, the want to get them. You know what it's like when you're a child and you're not allowed to have something - you have to have it."And since then, he says his success has been "mind-blowing".DAIRE describes how the first show he ever went to in Belfast was Hardwell in the SSE."It was everything I ever wanted to do".And whilst music has been a lifelong interest for him, his success has come quickly.
He then announced two shows at the new venue the Telegraph Building in Belfast, which sold out in what he calls "record time".When asked about how he felt when that happened, he said: "Me with my head in my pillow crying my eyes out. I was just like this is crazy...everything I've dreamt of as a kid growing up"."I can't even put into words how grateful I am".Social media has been a big part of DAIRE's success.
