. The quirky romantic drama recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and it chronicles the lonely and routine existence of Ridley’s Fran until Dave Merheje’s Robert arrives in town and attempts to crack her shell.sequel trilogy, Ridley still felt the same through-line in the work.
“The goal of any film — whether it’s made for $100,000 or $300 million — is to ultimately share something that speaks to people and tells a resonant story,” Ridley tells. “So it obviously felt different because it’s sort of a smaller screening and what have you, but it’s still the same feeling.”
