The seven-day case total is less than half of the 19,610 new cases reported in the previous week, part of a downward trend being seen across the North Texas region.
The average number of new daily cases in the county for the last two weeks is 2,061. For the previous 14-day period, the average was 3,960. The average number of new daily cases in the state for the last two weeks is 26,937. For the previous 14-day period, the average was 58,867.As of Tuesday, there were a total of 9,529 COVID-19 hospitalizations in the state, including 2,628 in North Texas. A week earlier, 12,156 people across the state were hospitalized with the virus, including 3,590 in North Texas.
The average number of new daily cases in the county for the last two weeks is 3,299. For the previous 14-day period, the average was 5,440.According to the state, 1,321,627 people in Tarrant County have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, while 1,156,613 — 59.5% of the county’s population 5 and older — are fully vaccinated.The state added 31 deaths and 4,803 cases to Collin County’s totals in the last week. In the previous seven-day period, 7,800 cases were reported.
