The Welsh forward was back on the bench at Sheffield Wendesday despite scoring the winning goal against Stoke City in midweek
Daniel Farke admits it's always 'painful' to leave Daniel James out of his Leeds United starting XI, but that his decision to go with Willy Gnonto ahead of the Welsh forward at Sheffield Wednesday was a 'no-brainer'.
"Obviously, everyone knows how much I love Dan James and I trust him," Farke said. "He's amazing for us and in the last game there was a crucial goal. So it's it's always difficult when I can't allow him to start the game, but I think this was more or less a no-brainer because he is so crucial for us during the season.
"It's a bit the same for Connor Roberts if I'm honest. His first game and the starting line-up for 90 minutes and he put a real shift in and covered more than 12k the other day. But then you have to make sure that everyone stays fit and sharp."
