Danilo was hauled off in Rangers' 2-0 win over St Johnstone with a face injury after a collision with Liam Gordon in the move that he opened the scoring at McDiarmid Park with a stunning header.
Danilo has revealed how long he will be out for to leave Rangers fans in the dark no longer with supporters fearing the worst.
The Brazilian notched the opening goal against St Johnstone at the weekend, but his header came with an unwanted cheekbone injury via Liam Gordon’s effort to stop him. The injury was later reported as a compound fracture, an injury which would cut his day short, despite his contribution to the clash as the Gers went on to win 2-0 to temporarily put an end to their poor Scottish Premiership form with Rabbi Matondo grabbing the second goal to seal the points in Perth.
He was taken to hospital straight away after being subbed off, and the former Feyenoord man underwent surgery on Monday to leave Rangers fans fearing the worst as injuries continue to play their villain role at Ibrox. But those fears have been cut short as the striker confirmed he would be back ‘in a few weeks.
