Due to popular demand a third show has been added and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28.
composer Danny Elfman said in previous interviews that he’d be done with the live concert-to-film “The Nightmare Before Christmas” event in 2016He did take a year off in 2017, but with 2018 being the 25th anniversary of Tim Burton’s beloved holiday feature, Elfman announced that he’d once again slip into his Jack Skellington role and perform three nights at the Hollywood Bowl Friday, Oct. 26, Saturday, Oct. 27 and Sunday, Oct. 28.
Conductor John Mauceri will lead a full orchestra and choir through the score for “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and Elfman will voice Skellington alongside Catherine O’Hara, who will be reprising her role as Sally, and Ken Page returning to do the infamous Oogie Boogie as the film plays on the giant screens inside the iconic venue.
The Hollywood Bowl will also transform into Halloween Town for the event with a slew of special pre-show activities including a costume contest, unique photo opportunities and trick-or-treat stations. Elfman may even do a little of Oingo Boingo’s “Dead Man’s Party” if he’s feeling nostalgic.
Though Oct. 27 is already sold-out, there are still tickets for Oct. 26 and tickets for Oct. 28 go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28 at 800-745-3000 or
