Two brave men have ditched their beds to spend a night sleeping out on a platform, suspended from a 100 metre cliff edge on the north coast of Co Antrim to raise awareness and funds to help young people who were homeless or at risk of homelessness.
“There are around 4,000 families, many with young children who are forced into unstable temporary accommodation, constantly having to move with all the difficulties and stresses that brings,” Paul explained. “In the last year, our services have gone above and beyond to support young people through the cost of living crisis. Unfortunately, we continued to see ever-increasing child poverty, which was exacerbated over the last couple of years, not to mention the rise in housing costs,” Paul said.
“We believe all young people should have the chance to have a happy and healthy life regardless of their background and were delighted to play a small part in helping Action for Children achieve that. “Locally here in Fermanagh and Omagh we have services that work with young people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.
