Decathlon is giving £70 to the first 70 customers at its store in Giltbrook when it reopens after refurbishment later this week. The sports brand's premises, next to Ikea, has received a "full revamp," the company says, with an update to the storefront and design, new tills installed, welcome desks to provide a better shopping experience and specialised displays.
Store Manager Billy Mehmet said: “It's been great watching the renovation and the new vision come to life over the past few weeks, and we are proud that Giltbrook has been chosen as one of the first global stores to take on the transformation. When customers walk into the new Giltbrook store they will be greeted by a world of possibilities, and we hope they feel inspired to get stuck into the wonders of sport.
The Downie sisters, who both won gold medals at European Championships and also competed in Olympics, will also be meeting and greeting customers after cutting the ribbon. The weekend's activities will run through Monday.
