Deputies late Wednesday shot and injured a man who investigators believe had just fatally shot his grandparents at a residence about a mile away from where he was found, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.
A call about a double-fatal shooting in northwest Harris County ended with deputies shooting and injuring a man at a separate location about 2 miles away.
Around the same time that deputies responded to the first call, dispatchers received another call requesting a welfare check at a residence near the intersection of Foxburo Drive and Pizzito Lane, Gonzalez said. They found a 72-year-old man and 70-year-old woman dead at the scene. Both had gunshot wounds.Detectives were expected to conduct investigations into both calls, along with a separate investigation into the shooting of the man.
