Investigators are offering a reward for information that leads to arrest of hit-and-run driver
San Diego police detectives are asking for help in finding a driver who hit a 63-year-old woman in a Costco parking lot and then drove off.
The woman was walking on the east side of the parking lot on Morena Boulevard in the Bay Ho community around 10:35 a.m. Sept. 1 when she was struck, police said in a news release Thursday. The woman suffered multiple fractures and internal injuries, police said. She was hospitalized with injuries considered life-threatening.The woman’s daughter set up ato help cover the cost of medical expenses. The daughter said her mother was in intensive care and would need multiple surgeries, and the use of wheelchair as she recovers.
“My mom is one of the most caring and selfless humans on this planet. Her relentless spirit will get her through this,” her daughter said on the GoFundMe page. “I have high hopes that she will still be able to walk with me down the aisle at my upcoming wedding.”Police asked anyone with information about the driver or incident to call the department’s traffic division at 495-7807 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 580-8477.
