The USMNT international failed to impress in a loan spell at Elland Road
West Ham United legend Paolo Di Canio has offered a brutal verdict on former Leeds United loanee Weston McKennie, questioning whether Juventus can be classed as serious Serie A title challengers with McKennie in their side.
The USMNT international arrived amid much fanfare after a successful career at both Juve and Schalke O4 but his performances came under fire from supporters in what turned out to be an unsuccessful stint in West Yorkshire. But speaking after Juve's 4-2 loss to Sassuolo at the weekend, Di Canio - who is now a prominent pundit on Italian TV - hit out at McKennie's inclusion in the side and questioned whether a team with such big ambitions should be starting a player who contributed to Leeds' relegation last term.
