There will be no direct trains this weekend between Glasgow and London
due to essential works being carried out.
The 12:15 leaving London St Pancras on Saturday is expected to take just over seven hours, arriving at Glasgow Central station at 19:36 which is more than two hours longer than the normal service. "Both train operators and Network Rail must ensure that there is effective communication to support passengers."
"The industry - both Network Rail and train operators - have looked at the alternatives, all of which cause more disruption for passengers.
