Disneyland is replacing Fastpass and Maxpass with two new apps. Disney Genie, which is free, will help guests plan their day. Genie+, which costs $20 per day, will help guests skip the traditional lines. Read more

Hoping to ease crowding problem at its theme parks, Walt Disney Co. announced plans Wednesday to launch a new mobile app that will allow parkgoers willing to pay extra to skip the wait for the most popular attractions.

Disney Genie+ is a similar app that costs $20 per day at Disneyland and $15 at the Florida parks.
