LOS ANGELES ― The Dodgers agreed to terms on a major league contract with catcher Austin Wynns and placed Will Smith on the 7-day injured list Sunday with a concussion.
Smith has a .333 batting average, three home runs and 12 runs batted in through his first 11 games of the season. He had started 10 of the team’s first 13 games. Wynns, 32, has been a career backup at the major league level in three seasons with the Baltimore Orioles and two with the San Francisco Giants . He was designated for assignment by the Giants on Monday and subsequently elected free agency.
