A Scot has been banned from owning dogs for two years, after leaving his pet to starve and drink of out a water bowl that was coloured green with algae.
Bruiser was removed from the Muirhouse Avenue property, amid concerns for his welfare and taken to a vet surgery for an examination. Bruiser weighed 13.8kg with loss of muscle mass, especially over his hindquarters, reports Glasgow Live. Top news stories today “Due to concerns for Bruiser’s welfare, we removed him from the property and took him to a veterinary surgeon for examination.
“Bruiser soon regained weight in the care of one of our animal rescue and rehoming centres on a normal diet of commercially available dog food."
