Mr Trump, who is campaigning to return to the White House in 2024, has denied any wrongdoing and insisted he is being persecuted for political purposes.On Saturday, Mr Trump appeared in public for the first time since the charges were filed, saying the case was “election interference” planned by the “corrupt” FBI and justice department.
