The president said Eddie Gallagher would be moved to less restrictive confinement 'quickly.'
Eddie Gallagher, who pleaded not guilty in January to war crimes allegedly committed during a tour in Iraq, was mentioned in a tweet from Trump that stated Gallagher would soon be moved to less restrictive confinement until his next appearance in front of a military court.
“This morning, I spoke with President @realDonaldTrump by phone about Navy SEAL #EddieGallagher. And I want to thank the President for deciding to move Chief Ghallager to less restrictive confinement while he awaits his day in court. “Again, many thanks to President Trump, as well as approx. 40 other Members of Congress who took a stand on this issue, including @Rep_Hunter, @RepDanCrenshaw and so many others."
