A double-decker bus has collided with a bridge at a train station in Scotland, causing its roof to be ripped off. This is the second time such an incident has occurred in the past five years. Police scrambled to the scene, near Fauldhouse on the B7010, shortly after 9am this morning, Monday, March 11, after the Lothian Bus collided with the bridge and its roof was ripped off. The B7010 road has been closed while a clean up operation takes place and it is understood that there are no injuries.
Network Rail are currently assessing the bidge for any structural damage but trains services are believed to be operating in the area as normal. Officers later confirmed a 59-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident. The Record reported in 2019 on a bus crashing in the same place, with the roof stuck horizontally to the back of the bridge.
