Here’s another new look at the cast reunited for the DowntonAbbey movie
have been nudged open just a bit more, as the official spin-off film creeps closer and closer. Just a few weeks after thewas released, nine new character posters featuring the key cast have been sent out, featuring everyone from Lady Edith to the Dowager Countess in luxurious repose.
The new posters are classical portraits of the characters in and around Downton. Lady Mary and the Dowager Countess stand in their finery in one of the home’s nicer rooms, while character pairs like Thomas and Andy and Mrs. Patmore and Daisy hang about in the kitchen, standing expectantly near a table full of cakes. And not a single water bottle is in sight.follows the characters in 1927 as they flock back to the grandiose Edwardian manor, preparing for a visit from King George and Queen Mary.
But there are also tantalizing new dramatic beats. Thomas, who spent much of the series being tormented by his sexuality, is, potentially, entertaining a romantic prospect, and is seen kissing a mystery man in the trailer.
