DP Motorsport Has Created The Porsche 964 911 Of Our Dreams | Carscoops carscoops
To build this 964, known as the Classic RSR, DP Motorsport has fitted it with hand-made body components made from a lightweight mixture of carbon fiber and Kevlar. It has also been equipped with new front fenders, rear side glass, a distinctive hood, new front aprons, side doors with green tinted Plexiglass and a new roof skin.
Extensive work has also been done to the powertrain of the 964, so much so that it now pumps out 320 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque, some 70 hp more than a standard model. These gains were achieved by increasing the engine’s displacement to 3.8-liters while also developing a bespoke exhaust system made from lightweight stainless steel. Coupled to the engine is a five-speed manual transmission.
DP Motorsport has also modified the interior of the 964 with a welded roll cage, belt braces and a rear cross bar, bucket seats clad in synthetic leather and Alcantara, four-point Schroth harnesses, a Momo sports steering wheel, lightweight dashboard panels, and perforated pedal boards.
