An investigation got underway Monday night after shots rang out in a Greater Fifth Ward neighborhood.
Houston police are investigating a drive-by shooting on Brewster Street in Greater Fifth Ward where a juvenile was killed on Monday night.A child was killed Monday night after police say someone drove by and opened fire in a northeast Houston neighborhood.
Houston police said their Northeast Division officers were called at 6:21 p.m. to a shooting in the 2900 block of Brewster Street, which is two blocks off from US-59 Eastex Freeway in Greater Fifth Ward. Officers found a 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound who was rushed to Memorial Hermann hospital, police said.Detectives were looking at video from nearby cameras, as well as interview witnesses. Police did not disclose descriptions of the suspect or the vehicle involved other than it being a dark-colored automobile.
