A Somerset County man has been charged with first-degree aggravated manslaughter in connection with a 2020 crash in Hammonton that resulted in the death of Justin Santos-Torres, 20, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office announced. The arrest of Nikhil Branscomb, 28, of the Somerset section of Franklin, was announced Friday. The crash happened at 2:15 a.m. July 19, 2020, the prosecutor’s office said.
Santos-Torres was traveling on the Atlantic City Expressway when his vehicle went off the roadway and overturned after being struck by a vehicle driven by Branscomb, who was traveling at a high rate of speed and was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, according to the prosecutor’s office If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
