A driver was killed after two vehicles collided in Cumberland County on Thursday morning, police said.
David J. Carlaw, 55, of Pittsgrove Township, was driving a car northbound on Route 553/Centerton Road in Upper Deerfield Township around 9:20 a.m. when his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a southbound SUV near milepost 26, according to a New Jersey State Police spokesman. Both vehicles ran off the roadway and Carlaw’s car struck several trees, police said. Carlaw died of his injuries, they said.The crash remains under investigation and additional details were not released.
