Driver killed after truck spins out, crashes into SUV in Serra Mesa [Breaking]
The 53-year-old driver of a pickup died after his vehicle spun out and crashed into an SUV in Serra Mesa Thursday, police said.
The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Mission Center Road, near Murray Ridge Road, San Diego police Officer David O’Brien said in a news release. The driver of the Chevrolet pickup was heading north when he lost control of the truck, O’Brien said. It spun into the southbound lane of the road and crashed into a Land Rover LR3.The driver of the Land Rover LR3 was driving south when the pickup truck collided with his SUV, police said.
Paramedics performed CPR on the pickup driver, O’Brien said. The driver died before he could be taken to a hospital. The driver of the SUV, a 31-year-old man, complained of chest, back, neck and shoulder pain, authorities said. He was taken to a hospital.Police asked anyone with information about the case to call the department at 531-2000. Anonymous tips can be left by calling Crime Stoppers at 580-8477.
