GMP Traffic officers stopped the driver in the early hours of this morning
A driver was stopped and reported on the M60 motorway for 'failing to understand' the rules of the road.
GMP Traffic officers stopped the driver on the motorway at around 3am this morning . Officers said they 'failed to understand that they should keep left on the motorway when not overtaking'. The driver had 'trundled along' in the middle lane of the motorway between junction eight and junction 13. Police said a number of vehicles had to pass them to overtake in lane three, before they moved back over to lane one.The middle-lane driver was 'stopped and reported'. Sharing a photo of the car this morning, GMP Traffic posted on X, formerly Twitter: "This driver failed to understand that they should keep left on the motorway when not overtaking.
"Several vehicles had to pass them in lane 3 then back to lane 1 while they trundled along in the middle lane between Jct 8 and 13 of the #M60. Stopped and reported. @NWmwaypolice."
