You could face a £1,000 fine
Drivers with specific medical conditions must declare them to the DVLA to avoid a hefty fine. The DVLA lists 118 conditions that drivers must report, otherwise they could face a £1,000 fine or possible prosecution if an accident happens.
This included allowing specialist nurses and opticians to help fill out medical questionnaire's for applicants, whereas previously only doctors were allowed to do so. If you experience one of the listed conditions, you must let the DVLA know about it, as a medical condition doesn't automatically require a licence surrender, but it may need to be handed over in certain situations that are deemed unsafe.
