The road is blocked
The crash, described as 'serious', has happened on the A662 Droylsden Road, in Audenshaw. The road is partially blocked in both directions following the incident around Kershaw Lane.
Travel services have said that there are diversions in place with drivers warned to avoid the area. Trams have also been affected, Metrolink say. They added: "SERVICE 7, 216 due to an RTC in Droylsden we are diverting the 216 onto Manchester Road, Fairfield Road Edge Lane, Market Street and the 7 Manchester Road, Capitol Road back on route, until further notice. Sorry if this affects your journey with us today."
