Windy, dry and warm conditions on Tuesday have raised the risk of wildfires in central Pennsylvania, forecasters said.National Weather Service“Warm and dry conditions along with increasing west winds will result in an elevated risk of wildfire spread this afternoon,” forecasters said in a hazardous weather outlook for the midstate.
Forecasters said the region will again be under an increased risk of fires Wednesday because of more windy and dry weather. Winds could gust more than 20 mph Wednesday as temperatures climb into the low 80s, forecasters said. The winds will die down by Thursday, forecasters said.
