Holland, a 6-8 power forward out of Duncanville High School in South Dallas, is one of two players from Texas participating in the 46th annual McDonald’s All-American Games on Tuesday night at the Toyota Center.McKinney native Ja’Kobe Walter opted to spend his final prep campaign at Link Academy in Branson, Mo., a college prep school and one of the top-ranked basketball programs in the country. Holland likely could have taken a similar route, but he decided to remain at Duncanville.
“I’m really excited about that, just knowing how hard he had those guys playing,” Holland said of Terry. “He really deserves that job, and just to see them reach that goal and for him to get an opportunity to continue to coach that team, it’s a really good feeling for me because I get to stay committed to that team — me and A.J. Johnson — and we get to go try to get us a national championship next year.
