The Government is topping up the payment this year
Pensioners across the UK are beginning to receive letters from the Department of Work and Pensions about the boost to their Winter Fuel Payment this year. The annual support is being increased this year to help people cope with the cost of living crisis.
How does the Winter Fuel Payment work? You may be eligible for the Winter Fuel Payment if were born on or before September 25, 1956, and you lived in the UK for at least one day during the qualifying week of September 19-25, 2022.If you live outside the UK you may still get the payment if: How much will I receive?
