The Eagles joint practice with the Indianapolis Colts ended with a melee involving center Jason Kelce and Indianapolis Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin, who doesn't sound happy with him.
came flying in like a heat-seeking missile to Franklin to hit him, and both sidelines rushed into the brawl, with pushing and shoving occurring, along with a few fists being traded between the two sides, making it look like a scene from the WWE’s Royal Rumble instead of football practice. The only thing missing was a ring announcer. Who knows, maybe Eagles play-by-play announcer Merrill Reese’s commentary will be dubbed over it when the team reviews the tape after practice.
“Tensions just got the better of me,” Kelce said. “We try and keep things civil on the field. I pride myself on being a guy that sustains the emotion and level of play out there, and I let my emotions get the better of me. That doesn’t belong out there on the field. I’m a little bit ashamed that it got to that level that I did what I did. I’m certainly not happy about that.”
